Are you PuZzLeD about what to do tomorrow night? Every Wednesday is GAME NIGHT at Cellar Gate from 7-9pm. Tomorrow night we’re breaking out the jigsaw puzzles and challenging tables to compete against each other for the title of ”FASTEST PUZZLE-PUTTER-TOGETHERER”…huh?

So…come gather ’round the tables with your favorite wines, goodies & friends. Spend the evening frantically looking (& sipping!) for that ONE piece to complete your table’s puzzle challenge first!

If you have gently used puzzles that you want to pass on…we’ll take ‘em! We’re CrAzY about PuZzLeS!

Wine Dinner 3/8- Montagna Napa Valley New Releases

Please join us as we welcome Bob Long from Montagna Napa Valley on Thursday, March 8th. Bob will present his “New Release” wines, some of which are new to the Chicago market. Montagna Napa Valley wines will be paired with each course. The wines and the Bunn Gourmet meats will be available for purchase and pre-order that evening, as well.
Our dinner will begin at 6:30pm with a champagne & hors d’oeuvres reception followed by…

First course – Chicken and lemongrass soup with 2010 Montagna Sauvignon Blanc

Second course – Bunn Gourmet braised prime beef chuck roast, pearl onions and carrots accompanied by potato-parsnip puree – 2009 Montagna Syrah

Third course- Sauteed Magret duck breast with cabernet sauce, roasted root vegetables – 2009 Tre vigneti and 2009 La Presa

Dessert – Select sweet bites

New Burgundies

We have great new Burgundies in from a recent tasting. This is the first drop of some great ’09 and select ’08 whites. Both vintages were great for whites and are drinking well now or wait a few years…they will be even better! Stop in and check out our selection!

Wednesday nights from 7-9pm during the fall and winter have been open Game Night at Cellar Gate. If you come in to play games, we offer 1/2 price corkage on your wine! $4 rather than $8…what a DEAL!
